MY 2024 CHALLENGE
On 3rd May 2024, Ann kicked off on a 4000km cycling adventure from Old Harry Rocks, Dorset, to Yestival near Boston, Lincolnshire (Via Lands End, John O’Groats & Orkney).
THE MISSION
My goal was to demonstrate that having a severe form of asthma does not define a persons limits. With an aim to inspire others with my passion for adventure. Its more than a personal challenge; its a testament to the power of human spirit and the power to overcome obstacles
Find out how it went, listen to The 10 Adventures Podcast, talking to me about my epic adventure!
ANNS’ TRACK
Meet Bob, my trusty recumbent etrike.
Bob is a HPVelotechnik Scorpion fs20 and having never had a trike before or really cycled much since a child we are getting along thankfully rather well.
One in four people in the UK have a lung condition.
We all deserve the right to breath.

Ann is undertaking an incredible challenge, one which I hugely admire her for.
Although I’ve never met her, I was instantly captivated by her story. She is undertaking this venture to show that having eosinophilic asthma and a depleted lung function doesn’t define a person’s limits. In fact, she’s showing the opposite of this! It hasn’t always been easy for her and it still isn’t, yet she is full of optimism for the future. Ann is fundraising for Asthma and Lung UK
Shockingly, 1 in 4 will develop a lung condition in their lifetime. It is imperative that we become more aware of these conditions, if we are to change these statistics. Giving more support and understanding to people suffering with these conditions should also become a priority.
On 3rd May 2024, Ann will be leaving from Old Harry Rocks, in Devon to the Yestival, in Boston (Lincolnshire). Sounds simple? Except it will be via Lands End, John O’Groats and Skaw, in the Shetland Isles and on a recumbent eTrike. Not so simple now, is it?! Pretty bloody remarkable. I wish her the biggest pot of good luck and cannot wait to see her updates. Will be absolutely cheering her on. Please do follow her progress and donate whatever you are able to do.
